BLE Terminal

The BLE Terminal application offers a comprehensive toolset for monitoring and communicating with nearby BLE devices, particularly those using Texas Instruments CC254x modules. Designed to facilitate serial communication via smartphones, this app provides a streamlined interface for debugging and hardware interaction.

Key features include dedicated panels for data transmission and reception, enabling users to clearly differentiate between incoming and outgoing messages. The app allows customization of buttons for quick sending of frequently used commands, enhancing efficiency during development or testing processes. Users can monitor received data in ASCII or HEX formats and choose to send data similarly in either format, with additional options to append carriage return (\r) and line feed (\n) characters automatically.

For convenience, a long-press feature enables copying of sent data, and the app facilitates exporting logs of both sent and received data for record-keeping or further analysis. The interface includes options to keep the device screen active or turn it off to conserve battery during prolonged use. An ad-free version is available, eliminating interruptions for uninterrupted workflow.

Note that the default settings display received data in ASCII format, which can be adjusted via the top menu. Similarly, the default data format for transmission is ASCII unless altered by long-pressing specific buttons. The automatic sending of \r\n can also be modified through long press options.
